St. Louis harpist Maria Fisher performs solo at wedding

FAQ

WHAT MUSIC DO YOU NORMALLY PLAY?

I am classically trained and thus play a variety of standard harp solo, chamber, and orchestral pieces.  I enjoy performing popular music for more casual events, including classics and radio hits.  In my free time, I love learning my favorite themes from movies and video games.  For specific songs, take a look at my repertoire in the "Music" tab.  If you have specific requests for your event, concert, or wedding, please let me know!

WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE TO PLAY AT MY EVENT?

I travel and bring my own equipment, including my harp, a bench, and a music stand.  I usually play acoustically, but I can use a microphone and PA system if supplied by the event location or DJ.  For outdoor events, I require a level solid surface to play on, shade, and contingency plans in the case of inclement weather.  I can move the harp up and down short staircases, but the ceiling must be high enough (about 7 feet) to fit my harp.

CAN YOU PLAY WITH ANOTHER MUSICIAN FOR MY EVENT?

I am happy to perform as a duo or trio with a violinist and/or cellist.  Contact me for more information regarding pricing and availability.

I WANT TO START HARP LESSONS.  WHAT DO I NEED?

Nothing!  Contact me, and we can find you a harp to purchase or rent if you don't have one already.  I will help you pick out your books to start.  You do not need experience on other instruments or reading music, although these can often help.  As your teacher, I will be with you 100% of the journey.
